I just wanted to let you know what we are doing here in Vancouver for the Special Assembly.

We do have members travelling up North for the meeting, but our real focus is making the Special Assembly accessible to as many members as possible here in Vancouver.

To this end we are renting a meeting room at the Chateau Grandville for the whole week. We will have the live stream coverage of the meetings projected on to a large screen and computers set up so members can ask questions on line and hear the answers live. We will have staff available to assist members in this process. We will have refreshments to make this comfortable for members who can attend as much or as little as they like during the week. And we are providing bus passes to help members to access this event.

We will also have Directors and staff on site at the Special Assembly and they can bring forward questions that were developed through our community engagement process.

We are excited about these arrangements and I wanted you to be aware of how we are using the technology available from NLG to improve access to the Special Assembly.
