Corey Stewart Receives 2016 Premier’s Awards for Aboriginal Youth Excellence in Sport

On November 15, 2016, Corey Steward received an award from the Premier as a regional recipient of the 2016 Premier’s Awards for Aboriginal Youth Excellence in Sport for the Fraser Region.

This award was given in recognition of his outstanding sport achievements and commitment and dedication education, culture, leadership and community.   The award was presented at the Fraser Premier’s Awards Celebration Banquet at the Kwantlen Cultural Centre.

As a regional recipient, Corey’s name will be put forward as a nominee for the 2016 Premier’s Awards for Aboriginal Youth Excellence in Sport - Provincial Awards. A total of 12 Provincial Awards (six male and six female) will be given out.

Provincial Recipients will be notified in early 2017 and will be invited to attend an exclusive Aboriginal Youth Leadership Forum held at Gathering our Voices Youth Conference from March 21-24, 2017 in Kelowna, BC.
