As Public Servants, we take our responsibilities seriously and we work hard for the citizens of the Nisga’a Nation. Celebrating our organizational success along with the way shows us how far we have come, and refuels us for our continued work ahead.

Moving into the Educational Achievement portion of our celebration, we focused on these key factors of our Nisga’a Lisims Government’s Vision Statement:

  • Our Ayuuk, language and culture are the foundation of our identity

  • Learning is a way of life

  • We strive for sustainable prosperity and self-reliance

We recognize that learning organizations are leading organizations. Learning is a shared responsibility that moves us forward.  As an organization, we support staff development and we acknowledge that in doing so, we create a stronger, dynamic, sustainable and progressive workforce. With a skilled and engaged team, we are equipped to confront the challenge of new projects, administer effective programs, and deliver exceptional service to the citizens of our nation.

While we appreciate that learning occurs in a variety of forms on a daily basis - be it through simple hands-on instruction to learn new tasks, attending various workshops to gain new insights, or cross-training with our colleagues to acquire new skills - at this time, we wish to acknowledge the more formal post-secondary educational achievement of our staff members.
