./ Nominees for all elected offices mus tbe Nisga'a citizens and at least 18 years of age

./ Nominees for Chief Councillor and Councillors must reside in the Nisga'a village for which they are nominated to represent

./ Nominees for Nisga'a Urban Local Representative must reside in the Nisga'a urban local area for which they are nominated to represent

./ Nominees for offices of President, Chairperson, Secretary-Treasurer and Chairperson of the Council of Elders must reside in a Nisga'a village or provide proof of a plan to relocate to a Nisga'a village should they be elected.

./ At the above nomination meeting,a Nisga'a citizen listed on the Nisga'a Voters List as not ordinarily residing in any voting area may nominate or second the nomination of a person for any of the elected offices of President, Chairperson, Secretary-Treasurer and Chairperson of the Council of Elders.

 

./ Nominators and seconders must provide to the Nisga'a Elections Officer the required nomination forms.

 

./ Nominees must provide to the Nisga'a Elections Officer:

•     The required acceptance forms

•     A current criminal records check

•     A photograph

•     Payment of the nomination deposit of $100 cash, money order or a certified cheque payable to the Nisga'a Nation; and

•     Written certification from the Nisga'a Lisims Government Chief Financial Officer that the name of the person nominated was not included on the register of prescribed debts as of the date of nomination.
