Do YOU enjoy drawing and writing?

• Nisga’a Lisims Government Programs and Services is conducting a Children and Youth contest which you may submit your entry in either one of the following ways:

  • Poetry

  • Art Design

• Contest is to draw or write your answer to one of the following themes: 

  • What will help me to want to learn and to stay in School?

  • What do I want to see in our school that is exciting to learn?

  • What do I like about going to school and learning?

Please send us your completed original Artwork (crayon, pencil, charcoal, watercolor, or acrylic) or poetry writing concerning either one of the themes by May 15, 2015 and YOU CAN WIN! There are Three (3) Categories:

Grades k-3 Category:          Grades 4-8 Category:   grades 9-12 category:

4 children’s girls bikes                 4 youth girls bikes           8 adult bikes

4 children’s boys bikes                  4 youth boys bikes           8 adult sizes helmets

8 children’s bike helmets             8 youth helmets

            All entries are to be mailed and/or dropped off in person to NLG,

           along with entry form by June 12^th , 2015 by 4:00 pm to:

Contest Rules:

1. Must be a student in one of the 4 Nisga’a communities.

2. All artwork or writing must be the student’s original creation.

3. All Entries will be judged on the quality and artistic interpretation of chosen theme.

One entry per student will be accepted.  Prizes will be awarded June 19^th, 2015 at each of their respective Schools.
