Nisga’a Lisims Government is pleased to announce the appointment of Millie Percival as the new Victim Services coordinator. Millie joined NLG on February 26, 2009.

The Victims Assistance Program provides practical and emotional support to help individuals deal with the impact of crime and personal tragedies.

Services available from the program include:

• Offering a basic understanding of police, court and sentencing procedures;
• Health, counseling and family service referrals;
• Case status, court accompaniment and support;
• Victim rights and crime compensation information
• Help filling out forms.

In cooperation with the full justice department, we are responsible for promoting and implementing crime prevention campaigns; and strategic planning in the area of justice.
