Total snowfall amounts of up to 25 cm expected through tonight.

A moist pacific frontal system approaching the British Columbia coast will spread rain heavy at times over coastal sections of the central coast today through Sunday. Amounts of 70 to 100 mm are expected through tonight with an additional 30 to 50 mm through early Sunday evening when the rain should ease off.

Meanwhile the system is giving snow at times heavy to the inland sections of north coast. Total snowfall amounts of up to 25 cm are expected through tonight especially at Stewart before the snow changes over to rain overnight as temperature rises.
