Youth Organizing Youth

Youth Organizing Youth (YOY) focuses on how youth councils work, helps youth overcome uncertainties associated with youth councils, provides information on how a youth council body functions, and creates confidence by allowing youth to network with peers. Its main purpose is to allow youth to have a voice and develop leadership skills. We want our youth and youth councils to be aware of Nisga'a legislation, such as the treaty, FFA, and Programs & Services Act. YOY youth are encouraged to develop their ideas and bring forth their interest and concerns to their local village governments and to NLG by using the Nisga'a governance processes.
