May 11, 2021 will mark the 21^st anniversary since the implementation of the Nisg̱a’a Treaty.

We have been living in extremely unprecedented times with COVID-19 that has deeply impacted our lip wilaa loom̓ - our way of life – our culture.  The manner in which we would normally gather to show respect, love and compassion during difficult times has impacted us all.

As part of our Nisg̱a’a Day celebration, Nisg̱a’a Lisims Government wishes to pay tribute and acknowledge all of those Nisg̱a’a citizens that have passed on to the spirit world from March 2020 to May 2021.

Families wishing to honour their loved ones as part of this tribute may submit photographs of your late loved one to communications@nisgaa.net. 

As part of your photo submission please also include the following information of your loved one:

• Nisg̱a’a Name (spelling will be as submitted)
• English name
• Year of Birth – Year of Death

Please note submission of photos for inclusion in this tribute are voluntary on the part of all families.
