Nisga’a Lisims Government wins 1st place for the National Aboriginal Day Parade
On June 20, 2019, Nisga’a Lisims Government sought out to capture the hearts of the children and the theme for our float did just that. Seeing the childrens faces light up for the colours and charachters just said it all, the hard work paid off and was definately worth the extra mile. With some good leadership initiatives, the NLG float consisted of about 90% recyclables, creativity, and lively enthusiasm from this years NLG float team. Nisga’a Lisims Government is honoured to have achieved 1st place float for the National Aboriginal Day Parade held in Gitlaxt’aamiks BC. With all children in mind, that is what drives us to keep moving forward in the spirit of Sayt-K’i̓im-G̱oot.
Special shout out to the Gitlaxt’aamiks Village Government staff for another successful Aboriginal Day Event, the event keeps getting bigger each year with many welcomed visitors.
