Since Tuesday’s update (below), Nisg̱a’a Valley Health Authority’s Medical Director has reported 3 new positive test results.

A full update on positive, negative and pending will be distributed next week.

Tuesday January 11, 2022:

Since last week’s update, Nisg̱a’a Valley Health Authority’s Medical Directed has reported 1 new positive test result, and that person has already recovered.  We have nobody with confirmed active COVID infection in the valley currently, although 4 people are still admitted to hospital due to COVID infections from last year.  We have 3 test results pending.

Our testing statistics since the beginning of the pandemic, from Mar 2020:

• Tested: 1,733
• Positive: 328
• Active: 4 (these are all people who tested positive in Oct/Nov but are still admitted to hospital)
• Recovered: 319
• Died: 5
• Negative: 1,402
• Pending: 3
