There will be blasting activities at the Ginlulak quarry starting on Tuesday, October 9th.   Progressive Ventures Construction was awarded the work to produce 5000m3 of riprap in Ginulak  Quarry.

The quarry is located 4 kms from the highway near the McKay bridge.

The drills will be mobilized to the quarry on Tuesday and drill and blast to test the rock the same day from 3:00pm to 7:00. Tuesday to Wednesday will be several small blasts each day to establish the benches. After that there will be larger blasts and once or twice per day. Progressive is forecasting 10 days of work and working 6 days per week, with Sundays off.  

Therefore their blasting schedule is:

Tuesday October 9th: 3:00 -7:00 pm

All days after Tuesday: 7:00am  -7:00 pm

Progressive will be a section of the Iskinish FSR, either side of the quarry, for each blast. After closing both ends with an employee at each end, they will sweep the closed section of the road before blasting.
