NAIG Series: Willis Stanley - Under 19 Males Basketball
Willis Stanley is laxgibuu from the house of sim'oogit Kwaxsuu from the community of Gingolx. He is the son of Tanya Stanley and is representing Team BC on the Under 19 Males Baksetball team!
"It started on the kitchen table when I was 10 watching Perry Jr play on the 19u team. I started training hard at 11yrs with my mom and the women’s team, because I wasn’t allowed to practice with the boys. It was a 3-year process for me to get to a NAIG U14 tryout, where I was also successful. The NAIG 2020 games were taken by Covid. I appreciate the support and encouragement from all, I would not be in this position without it. We’d like to thank everyone who has supported the fundraisers, especially to NLG that has funded numerous training camps and tryouts."
