Nisga'a Cultural Calendar Photo Contest Results

Nisga‚Äôa Lisims Government was pleased with the level of interest in the Calendar photo contest.  It was wonderful to see the diversity and beauty in all of the Nisga‚Äôa faces, in our land and in our culture.  Each of the 384 pictures that you have voluntarily submitted and had the opportunity to vote for, told beautiful stories of the Nisga‚Äôa way of life.

The pictures that have been selected were based on the number of ‚Äòlikes‚Äô each had at the time we announced the closing deadline for voting.  We did keep the photos up since then and have noted that people have continued to ‚Äòlike‚Äô photos since the close of the contest. 

Nonetheless, the following pictures have been selected for the 12 month (March 2012-February 2013) calendar.  Where we do not know names of individuals, we have provided a description of the nature of the picture:

As we announced earlier, we are working on final formatting and editing of the Nisga‚Äôa Calendar before it goes to print.  Each month will be adorned with remarkable quotes from current and past leaders of our Nation and philosophies from Ayuukhl Nisga‚Äôa.
