Home News & Events News NLG Compliance & Enforcement Wildlife rescue in partnership with Northern Lights Wildlife Shelter
These two Black Bear cubs had been rescued a month apart with one of them in very critical condition along the Nisga’a Highway. Once rescued the Nisga’a Enforcement contacted the Northern Lights Wildlife Shelter and made arrangements for their team to take these bears to their facility for rehabilitation.
We will continue to work with Shelters to ensure our wildlife has a chance to grow and stay healthy.
We are happy to report both bears have recovered very well and have acclimated to each other and have been released together and will be monitored by the Wildlife shelter for their survival.
