Under the Nisg̱a’a Nation budgetary process, each Nisg̱a’a Village Government received funding to provide assistance for post-secondary education.

Interested Nisg̱a’a citizens are encouraged to contact their respective Nisg̱a’a Village Government to inquire about such assistance. The New Relationship Trust Bursaries Scholarship and Bursary initiative provides funding to First Nations students pursuing a post-secondary education from a recognized institution. Scholarships are awarded at the Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate levels. Bursaries are awarded to students pursuing trade certificates and diplomas. K’alii-Aksim-Lisims, the Nass River, flows through a land of sacred mountains and dense forests on Canada’s Pacific Coast. The Nisg̱a’a people have lived in the Nass River Valley since before recorded time.

The Nisg̱a’a Final Agreement, British Columbia’s first modern treaty, recognizes Nisg̱a’a Lands and Nisg̱a’a Government. An example of hope, trust, and cooperation, the Nisg̱a’a Final Agreement is being studied by governments and Indigenous people the world over.
