Nisg̱a’a Lands are crowned by soaring peaks, including the four Saviour Mountains where our ancestors took refuge during the Great Flood. From here, Ḵ’alii-Aksim-Lisims (the Nass River) begins its long and storied journey connecting the heavens, Earth, and sea. Along the way, it collides with a vast lava flow and becomes the spawning grounds of five species of Pacific salmon. Whales, dolphins, and porpoises pass through the estuary where the river pours into the bay. From these shores, we have repelled invaders, received visitors, and launched countless journeys.

In 2000, the Nisg̱a’a Final Agreement recognized the physical and spiritual home of the Nisg̱a’a in northwest British Columbia. Today, we greet visitors with a warm aam wil bakwsim̓, which means both “welcome” and “it’s good that you came.”

On Nisg̱a’a Lands, visitors discover vast lava beds, lush temperate rainforests, and world-renowned collection of Northwest Coast Indigenous art and artifacts. On Nisg̱a’a Lands, the majesty of the natural world and the legacy of its people are yours to experience and enjoy.
