NVHA Walk for Life 2015

 

RUN/WALK 10 KM ROUTE - FRONT ENTRANCE TO MILL BAY AND BACK OR RUN/WALK 5 KM ROUTE IN THE VILLAGE. MAP WILL BE PROVIDED ON LOCATION.  

Registration will begin at 10:00 am at the Gingolx Long House. Walk will start at 11:00 am.

First 100 participants will receive a Walk for Life t-shirt.

Lunch will be provided after the Walk.

16 hour opening Thursday, June 18th 6:00 to 22:00

Participants are required to possess a valid

Nisga’a Fisheries Licence and IS Permit

plus Transport Canada Certification.

All vessels must be Nisga’a owned.

The boundary for all marine IS openings is the DFO Salmon management Area 3-12 in front of Gingolx

Professor Emerita Verna Williams, also known as Ts'aa Gabin is a well-respected Matriarch from the house of Ksim Xsaan.

  • Open to Terrace Nisga’a citizens/families
  • A beginners course held every Thursday evening from 6:30pm—8:30pm over 9/10 weeks.
  • The curriculum is geared towards adults, although children are welcome to attend with parents.
