JOB
SUMMARY:  This position
will be working in the Nisga'a Child & Family Services and will provide
direct administrative support to the Team Leader and other professional
staff.  The work involves computer input
and daily filing of reports and contacts/services provided to family/children.  It is important to note that the majority of
the work priorities involve daily filing responsibilities.  This work involves highly confidential
material and the candidate will be bound by an Oath of Confidentiality. 

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:

1)       Diploma in Business
Administration is desirable;

2)    Minimum Administrative Assistant
Certificate.

 

EXPERIENCE:

1)    1-3 years employment in a related capacity;

2)       Previous employment in the
human services field is an asset.

 

KNOWLEDGE:

1)       Good computer skills and
knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, and Access;

2)       Proper filing standards;

3)       Telephone/Switchboard
operation;

4)       Demonstrate understanding
of confidentiality and Staff Code of Conduct.

 

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

1)       Dealing with clients in a
respectful manner;

2)       Operating office equipment;
computer, fax, photocopier;

2)    Reception duties and taking or referring
messages.

 

OTHER:

1)       Subject to criminal record
review;

2)       References will be required
of successful candidate.
