Nass Area Enterprises officially began the construction of the NWTL passing through Nisga’a lands. NAE took the necessary time to ensure that all aspects of their operation including their hand fallers had the appropriate training and certifications before starting the project. As a result the Nisga’a Hand fallers had the opportunity to drop the first tree to begin the project.

The Lead faller is Gary Stevens Jr. and he is in charge of ensuring each of his Nisga’a Fallers: Bruce Azak, Fred Moore, James Lincoln, Bertram Stewart, Gary Stevens Sr. are prepared for the tasks ahead.
