Major Scholarship Competition Starts Thursday!

The owner of Sprott-Shaw Community College is giving away 10 all expenses (tuition, books, accommodation, living expenses and spending money) scholarships. Each scholarship is worth about $100,000.

The project is called Class Act Canada. The website is http://classactcanada.com. It's an internet based international competition. Applicants will upload a video clip to the website on the theme of "What I would do with a degree/diploma from Sprott-Shaw College to help my community".

The contest starts Thursday August 20 and runs until September 20. An initial round of online voting will select 100 finalists. A second round of online voting will select 20 semi-finalists from these 100. The 10 winners will be selected by a panel of judges.

Any student who graduated from high school before August 1, 2009 is eligible.
