Adult Aboriginal students are invited to apply for one of four $1,000 awards to support their education. The Dr. Jacob McKay Awards are provided by the Indigenous Adult & Higher Learning Assoication (IAHLA), which is a non-profit, independent society that supports the growth of the Aboriginal-controlled adult education and post-secondary institutes of British Columbia. These awards are open to Aboriginal students who have attended an IAHLA institute and will either be continuing at the IAHLA institute or attending a BC public institution in the fall of 2013.
