Suspension Bridge

There has been a suspension bridge in the Nisga'a Village of Gitwinksihlkw for over 400 years. Various iterations of the that bridge, which is currently a metre wide, have spanned the Nass River. It was the only access to the Village of Gitwinksihlkw for generations. All groceries, furniture, and accessories had to be carried across the bridge.

Although no longer critical with the recent opening of a modern road bridge, the scenic suspension bridge has been fully restored and is still used by local and visitors for accessing either side of the Nass River.
