Ayuukhl Nisga'a - Nisga'a Signage Project
On November 5th, Ayuukhl Nisga'a Department staff installed office signage labelled in Nisga'a and English to identify office locations at Nisga'a Lisims Government.
The signage project, intended to promote the learning and use of Nisga'a language in the workplace, included consultation with the Nisga'a Language Vetting Committee (consisting of fluent speakers) to determine translation of titles from English in to the Nisga'a language.
Along the way, Nisga'a Language Coordinator Esther Adams and Ayuukhl Nisga'a Administrative Assistant Maxine Azak assisted employees with the pronunciation and description of their job titles.
