Brigitte Watts takes oath of office at the Nisga'a Lisims Government Legislative Chambers
On October 24, 2023, Brigitte Watts took oath of office at the Nisga'a Lisims Government Exectutive sitting as one of the Gitlaxdax Nisga'a Urban Local representitives. Conducting the ceremony was Sim'oogit K'eexkw, Chairperson of the Council of Elders, Herb Morven, with a long time cultural practice of Ganim Siwilyeenskw and the swearing-in script left by our forefathers in accordance with Nisga'a Law.
Madam President's congratulatory remarks to Ms. Watts on behalf of the Executive stated, "I have seen the the hard work that you have done for your community, and I know you will do a great job in your new role."
