Declaration of a newly appointed Nisga'a Elections Officer 2023
On August 2, 2023, a declaration of a new Nisga'a Elections Officer took place at the Nisga'a Lisims Government Legislative Chambers, conducted by Sim’oogit K’eex̱kw, Herbert Morven, Chairperson of the Council of Elders.
Jean Clayton was formally appointed Nisga'a Elections Officer by the NLG Executive on July 26, 2023. As required by section 73 of the Nisga'a Election Act, Jean formally made her solemn declaration as Nisga'a Elections Officer for the duration of August 1, 2023 - December 31, 2023.
