Nisga’a Lisims Government also recently sponsored Elijah Braden Azak from Gitwinksihlkw to attend the BC Aboriginal Under 15 Soccer Tournament, which was a great success.

Elijah and the Northwest Team won First place!

The Northwest team tied one game and won four game to put them in them championship game.    The Northwest Team is now representing Team BC in the 2014 North American Indigenous Games July 20 – 27, 2014 which will be held in Regina, Saskatchewan.

As described by Anita and Keith Azak, Elijah showed great character and support for his team by scoring a goal, along with a some great assists, and a fair play challenge during the games.  “Elijah has gained a very positive experience that will never be forgotten on his journey to becoming a strong role model for his peers and other Nisga’a youth.  Thank you once again!” wrote Anita and Keith Azak.
