N.B.E.S. Back to School March
On September 28th, 2018 Nathan Barton Elementary School hosted their Back to School March along with Every Child Matters. The march started at the Gingolx longhouse. The Simgigat opened with a welcome and ended with two songs for the students. The Nathan Barton Elementary School students started drumming and singing from Front Street to N.B.E.S. Upon arrival the students and parents were welcomed into the school by Principal Lavita Robinson. The students did presentations on what Every Child Matters means to them, each of the students did a fantastic job on their presentations. The remainder of the morning was hearing encouraging messages from community leaders and the Simgigat.
