All Botanical Forest Product (Mushroom) harvesters are required to purchase a Botanical Forest Product (BFP) permit pursuant to the Nisga'a Forest Act.

BFP permits can be purchased at the Nisga'a Lisims Government Office in Gitlaxt'aamiks (formerly New Aiyansh) from the Lands and Resources Department. Please ask for Raven Guno, Administrative Assistant.

Regular business hours are from Monday-Friday between 9am-5pm.

The cost for BFP permit is as follows:

• Nisga'a Citizen who has attained the age of 17 years but has not attained the age of 60 years- cost-$25.00
• Registered member of either Kitsumkalum Indian Band or Kitselas Indian Band who has attained the age of 17 years but not yet attained 60 years-cost-$25.00
• Nisga'a Citizen or registered member of either Kitsumkalum Indian Band or the Kitselas Indian Band who has not attained the age of 17 or has attained the age of 60 years-No Fee
• An applicant who is not a Nisga'a Citizen or a registered member of the Kitsumkalum Indian Band or Kitselas Indian Band-cost-$75.00.
• Please ensure to bring 2 pieces of identification.
