Notice to Nisga'a Citizens re: Interference at Cranberry Connector

To: All Nisga’a Citizens
You may have heard Wilp Luuxhon and Chief Luuxon of the Gitanyow Nation has issued a press release concerning a potential interference with the operation of the Cranberry Connector on May 30, 2012.
Nisga’a Nation has constitutionally protected Treaty rights as set out in the Nisga’a Final Agreement which will remain unaffected by any such actions.
NLG wants to reassure all Nisga’a citizens that the Province of British Columbia, the Lisims/Nass Valley detachment of RCMP and BC Hydro are all aware of the press release and are taking appropriate steps.
NLG will continue to monitor the situation and keep Nisga’a citizens informed as events unfold.
