In partnership with the BCTC the Nation held a joint conference November 14 – 16, 2007 in Vancouver. With the theme, for the event “Preparing for the Day After Treaty”. The following were the workshop sessions: The conference was designed for 175 attendees and because of the demand we ended with about 220 partparticipants.

Each of our Chief Councillors attended and assisted where needed on a moments notice and that is acknowledged – thank you to each of you.

At the conference we had 32 Speakers; 3 Nisga’a Staff; 9 BCTC staff and over 50 people on the waiting list – predominately government people and lawyers.

It was regrettable that the conference attendees were limited because we were not able to accommodate the additional numbers with the hotel.

On November 13, there was a meeting of the Land Claim Agreements Coalition to review the financial processes of the federal government and that had a number of Coalition members attending.
