The Nisga’a Museum is launching a brand-new exhibition in 2019 entitled Healing Ways, funded through the Department of Canadian Heritage in partnership with Nisga’a Lisims Government. This multi-year exhibition is the largest of its kind the Nisga’a Museum has undertaken in 7 years of operations and will span the entirely of our temporary exhibition space. Essential to the success of the exhibition, is the participation of the local community and Nisga’a artisans. The Nisga’a Museum will be committing several chosen artists to create pieces, highlighting the themes of the exhibition (as discussed below) to be displayed on a consignment, loan or purchase agreement as a part of the exhibition from May 2019 to May 2021.
