PEP Workshop

The Provincial Emergency Program (PEP) sponsored Elected Officials
Workshops will be taking place throughout March and April, 2009 in 20
different communities throughout British Columbia.

The Terrace Workshop is scheduled for Thursday, 16 April ‘09 from 10:00 – 14:00
at the Terrace Fire Hall.

Objectives:  The primary purpose of the workshops is threefold:

  • To provide awareness and education about the BC Emergency Management Structure and support to communities;
  • To provide understanding of legislated obligations and the role Elected Officials play in managing all phases of emergencies; and
  • To explain funding sources available to local authorities and how to maximize reimbursement to communities.

Audience:

  • Mayors and Council members
  • Regional District Chairs and Board members
  • Chief Administrative Officers
  • Emergency Program Coordinator
