Lightening caused fire located 600 meters south of Gitlaxt’aamiks

Size: 1.5 Hectares, not expected to change

No chances of the fire escaping – it is now contained

NLG Land & Resources staff are actioning the fire along with 1 3-man Initial Attack Crew from BC

A medium helicopter bucketing water on the fire

Expect fire will be under control before end of day today.  Crews will be on site until dusk.
