NOTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH NISGA’A LAW

In accordance with Executive Resolution 2014 /73 and section 103(2) of the Nisga’a Elections Act, I hereby order that the date for the nomination meeting for the following elected offices:

One (1) position of Executive Representative for the

Terrace Nisga’a Urban Local Area 

The nomination meeting for the above elected office will be held at : 

Terrace Nisga’a Urban Local Office

4441 Lakelse Avenue

Terrace , B.C.

The nomination meeting date:

Wednesday, August 13, 2014

from 6 :00 pm to 8 :00 pm

The Nisga’a Elections Officer will receive nominations for the above elected offices only at the above meeting.

• Nominees for the elected office of Executive Representative for Terrace Nisga’a Urban Local Area must be NisÞa’a citizens and must be at least 18 years of age.

• Nominees for the elected office of Executive Representative for Terrace Nisga’a Urban Local Area must ordinarily reside in the Terrace Urban Local.

• At the above nomination meeting, a Nisga’a citizen listed on the Nisga’a Voters List as ordinarily residing in the Terrace Urban Local may nominate or second the nomination of a person for the above elected offices.

• Nominators and seconders must provide the Nisga’a Elections Officer with required nomination forms.

• Nominees must provide the Nisga’a Elections Officer with required nomination papers and must pay a nomination deposit of $100 (only cash, money order or certified cheque payable to the Nisga’a Nation will be accepted).
