Program Funding from New Relationship Trust

NRT provides direct support for capacity building projects initiated
collaboratively by three or more First Nation communities in British
Columbia (BC).

NRT provides policy development for First Nation organizations that
operate at provincial and regional levels and that directly
impact/benefit local First Nations and their communities in British
Columbia (BC).

BC to Move Forward With Northern Transmission Line

Premier Gordon Campbell has announced the Province will immediately start the
environmental assessment process and First Nations consultation on the
Northwest Transmission Line along Highway 37. This is the first step towards
building a powerline that has the potential to generate billions of dollars in
capital investment, create thousands of new jobs and open economic
opportunities on a global scale in the Northwest.
