Gathering Strength 2009

Nisga'a pullers will once again take to the waters on a multi-day canoe journey launching from Kitimaat on August 2, 2009, traveling along the coastline of Douglas Channel, stopping in Hartley Bay and then traveling along the shores of Grenville Channel, Ogden Channel and arriving in Kitkatla on August 7, 2009.

4th Annual Warrior Canoe Races

Captains: Sign up a team of up to 11 paddlers, steer-person is provided.)

Paddlers 18 and under require signed waiver forms from parents or legal guardian.

Includes B-B-Q, Activities for Children, Cultural Performances

An alcohol & drug free event.

7th Annual Walk for LIfe

Agenda for the 7th Annual Walk for Life -  the walk is 10 kilometers from Anad'ol to Greenville.  

Nisga'a Youth Conservation Program Summer Camp Starts

Nisga’a Fisheries & Wildlife is pleased to announce to our Youth,
family, friends and Nisga’a community a 10-day Nisga’a Youth
Conservation Program Summer Camp, starting August 10 and ending August
21. The camp meets Monday thru Friday.

The
purpose is to have fun, participate in Environmental Stewardship and
Activism, while developing life skills such as teamwork, self
confidence, gratitude, and leadership. Learning activities in the
Summer Camp will include:

Elders' Meeting

Last Elder's meeting. Smorgasbord.
All members requested to bring a dish and all those that are to be at the Elder's Gathering, please attend meeting.

Farmers' Market

Please contribute to Elders' table.
