There are numerous youth activities on an ongoing basis in the Nisga'a Nation. From workshops with the elders, to crafts, language, sports, music and dance, we have always encouraged our youth to engage in productive and positive activities. We see their future as our future. One of our successful youth programs was the Nisga'a Youth Coast Watch Community Action Plan developed by Nisga'a Fisheries. 24 youth representing each Nisga'a Village and Urban Local, participated in a two-week intensive camp and were introduced to themes ranging from marine conservation and species at risk, to biodiversity and community leadership. This is awesome people!!!
