Forms, Licenses, & Permits

Nisga'a Hunting License can be obtained at the Nisga'a Lisims Government Office 2000 Lisims Drive.

Permits are required for designated species.  There are three designated species:moose, mountain goat, and grizzly bear.

Permits can be obtained at the Nisga'a Fisheries & Wildlife Office.  Hours of operation are usually posted at the beginning of the fishing season.

Because of conservation measures, there is a maximum allocation of 25 moose per year, and permits are issued pursuant to a lottery system.  To participate in the lottery, contact the Nisga'a Fisheries and Wildlife Office.

There is a fee for acquiring Hunting Licences, with the exception of Nisga'a hunters that are 60 and over, as prescribed in the Hunting Licence notice attached.

Nisga'a Transportation Permits can be obtained at the Nisga'a Fisheries & Wildlife Office.  Hours of operation are usually posted at the beginning of the fishing season, and may not be open on the weekends, so please check ahead.  Nisga'a citizens must present the fish for transport in person at the Nisga'a Fisheries and Wildlife Office prior to obtaining a Nisga'a Transport Permit.

All the above Licenses and Permits must be obtained in person in the offices of NLG or Nisga’a Fisheries and Wildlife, unless otherwise posted, and cannot be issued on-line.

However, a copy of the application form for these license and permits can be obtained in advance from the following attachments.  Once complete, the forms must be presented in person in the above offices.
