The Nisga'a Highway between Gingolx and Laxgalts'ap will be open to single lane, alternating traffic daily from 8:30am - 4:30pm.  The Highway will continue to be closed in the evenings until further notice.  Check www.drivebc.ca for updates on the status of the highway.

It has been a wet, windy and blustery day in the Nass Valley.  Here's a brief report on weather, hydro and highway conditions:

The Ministry of Highways has announced that MOH will be temporarily opening a single lane of the Nisga'a Highway from Laxgalt'sap to Gingolx to 2 way traffic for ONE HOUR from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm this afternoon. 

After 4:30 pm today, the road will be closed until further notice - please see the BC Highways website for official updates.
